2009 National Ecotourism Conference Presentations now available

Article by Grace Nderitu

Ecotourism Kenya held a successfully national Ecotourism conference late last year on the theme 'Tourism Business in a Changing Climate'.  The 3-day event saw participants in excess of one hundred interact, network and share ideas under the four thematic areas namely:
  • Climate change and Tourism Management
  • Community and Cultural Tourism Management
  • Sustainable Construction, and
  • Marketing Brand Eco-Kenya
The goal of the Conference was for both the public and private sector to gain insight on how to solve the problem of dealing with sustainable tourism. The discussions in the conference shed light on how to turn great ideas into practical solutions to be implemented in the near future in the tourism sector.
