Earth Hour is a global event that seeks to raise awareness on the need to take action on climate change issues by asking households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and other electrical appliances for one hour. Earth Hour 2011 will take place on March 26, 2011 from 8:30p.m. to 9:30p.m., and EK is planning to raise awareness around the event.

EK's Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on 31st March 2011 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at AMREF Training Centre.
We shall have a panel discussion after the AGM on the proposed Construction of a highway across the Serengeti National Park and how it will affect the Tourism Industry in Tanzania and Kenya.
The Panelist include: representatives from the Tanzania Natural Resource Forum (TNRF), South Rift Association of Land Owners (SORALO) and Ecotourism Kenya (EK).
