This is a first in a series of trainings under – The Green Tour Project – a 48-month EU funded program under the Switch Africa Green Project Phase II. This project’s goal is to replicate tourism industry sustainability best practices into the Kenyan tourism supply chain through an integrated business approach.

The associations know best the challenges and opportunities their members face and are in close contact with their members. The Green Tour Project aims at building capacity and developing tools that can be used by various Kenyan tourism sector associations such as EK, KATO, among others to better support their members taking into account the Kenyan context. This will result in supporting tour operators and their suppliers towards overall resource efficiency, reduced GHG emissions, poverty alleviation and CSR in the tourism value chains.

Aim of the workshop: to help participants understand the measures they need to take to integrate sustainability in their business operations.
