On the 28th February 2018 Ecotourism Kenya was invited to participate in a Career Mentorship Day at Embu College. Embu College is a private tertiary institutions registered under TVETA, Ministry of Education and KASNEB to offer various professional courses and teacher education. It is located in Embu town. The Career Mentorship Day was organized by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences and 120 Tourism students taking both certificates and Diploma attended the training.

Ecotourism Kenya was represented by two mentors. Vincent Ontinta who is the Education and Outreach Manager at Wildlife direct, he is also a committee member of the Leadership and Mentorship Program. The Ecotourism Kenya Secretariat was represented by Anthony Karoki who is the Membership and Marketing Officer who is also in charge on the Leadership and Mentorship.

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences had invited students doing Tourism related courses and students pursuing social sciences. The total number of students were 120.

The students were urged to have integrity, to work hard and believe in themselves if they are to succeed in their respective careers. “The desire of success should be greater than the fear of failure”.
