Ecotourism Kenya Sustainable Tourism Forum 2024 Wrap-Up
We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the Ecotourism Kenya Sustainable Tourism Forum 2024, held from June 20th to 21st in Nairobi at Tamarind Tree Hotel. This landmark event brought together professionals from the tourism, hospitality, conservation, and leisure sectors, all united by a shared commitment to sustainability in tourism. Key expectations from delegates were to connect with like-minded, more experienced professionals in sustainability within tourism, improve their brand identity and, get insights and knowledge on sustainable tourism.
This year’s theme, “Accelerating the Shift Towards Sustainable Tourism,” underscored the urgent need for proactive measures to minimize environmental impact, promote social inclusivity, stimulate economic growth, and preserve cultural heritage in Kenyan tourism destinations. We were honored to have Dr. Rose Mwebaza, Regional Director & Representative Regional Africa at United Nations Environment Africa as a keynote speaker and representative from the Ministry of Tourism & Wildlife, State Department of Tourism- Assistant Director of Tourism, Mr. Munyithya Kimwele.
Forum Highlights
