Kenya Tourism Federation, the apex body of the tourism private sector, will host the trade operators and stakeholders to a gala celebration under the theme “A Toast to the Tourism Sector – A Sustainability Agenda”. The gala will be held on 29th November at the Tamarind Tree Hotel, Langata, next to Carnivore grounds.

The celebration comes at a time when the tourism sector is recording greatly improved performance, having returned to a growth path in 2016 following a downturn in the previous year. Tourism receipts for 2017 closed at an estimated at Kshs119.9 billion compared to Kshs 99.69 billion in 2016; a growth of about 20.3%, as per sector performance results released by the Ministry of Tourism & Wildlife. This improvement is the outcome of extensive public and private sector efforts.

We recognize the contribution of all players within tourism as well as linked industries including Agriculture, Manufacturing, Building & Construction, ICT, Transportation and Banking services towards the success of tourism; and are pleased to invite all to this gala celebration in honor of the bold strides we have achieved together, and cultivate stronger networks for the future.

The gala will be graced by tourism sector leaders and decision makers from both the private and public sector; members of the diplomatic corps representing some of our key source markets including USA, Germany and Netherlands as well as captains of tourism linked industries.
