Ecotourism Kenya in partnership with United Nations Environment Programme, will this month be at the coast to launch the Plastic Free East African Coast Hotels Campaign, under the Kenya Tourism Federation banner. This campaign seeks to have hotels along the greater East African Coast to join the #PlasticRevolution by committing to stop the use of plastic bottles and straws within their facilities. Furthermore, the campaign also encourages coastal resorts to educate their guests and staff on the detrimental effects of single use plastic on the ocean and greater environment respectively. Participating Hotels will receive an official pledge certificate affirming their commitment to the cause. We would like to encourage all our members, eco rated facilities and all other accommodation facilities along the Kenyan coast to join this initiative and help end plastic pollution in Kenya. Join us on January 29th 2019 at Jomo Kenyatta beach Mombasa and sign the pledge to #BeatPlasticPollution.
