Sustainable Inclusive Business (SIB) is an organization that seeks to raise awareness of the need for businesses to incorporate sustainability practices in their respective mandates. SIB is a collaboration between Kenya Private Sector Alliance(KEPSA) and MVO Nederland (Corporate Social Responsibility Netherlands).
The MVO Nederland is an institution formed by the Dutch government with the aim of informing organizations on the need for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within a business and how to ensure CSR is at the heart of its core activities.
SIB, launched in 2015, provides tools and knowledge to businesses on the importance of harmony between People, Planet and Profit. These tools are disseminated through scheduled round table discussions and conferences with key stakeholders such as Government, Private Sector Organizations, Conservation Agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations.
The year’s theme for the conference is “New Economy, Transformation, and Future Proof Businesses.” It will take place at United States International University (USIU) on 4th May 2018.
The conference this year will be in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and SIB has identified SDGs 7, 11, 13, 14, 15 and 17 as a focus for round table. That is, the commitment to, the use of affordable and clean energy, sustainable cities and communities, climate action, life under water, life on lands and the partnership for the goals respectively.
