Ensuring occupational health and safety (OHS) in tourism is vital for protecting the well-being of employees, guests, and local communities, while safeguarding the industry’s reputation and long-term sustainability. A safe working environment not only reduces risks and accidents but also enhances service quality, builds trust, and fosters a culture of care across the sector. In tourism, where people are at the heart of every experience, prioritising OHS means empowering workers to perform at their best, ensuring visitors feel secure, and supporting compliance with national and international standards. This collaborative framework underscores our shared commitment to making tourism in Kenya safer, healthier, and a sector that prioritises occupational health and safety standards.
Our engagement outlines the promotion of occupational safety, health, and environmental sustainability within tourism establishments in Kenya, specifically seeking to;
- Facilitate safety awareness
- Build and improve capacity on Occupational Health and Safety
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Promote Safe and Healthy workplaces in line with sustainable tourism practices.
