Sustainability is a key component for the survival and future of tourism throughout the world, hence this brings up the need for active involvement of all key stake holders in the Kenyan tourism industry.

The Green Tour Kenya Project has actively rolled out a series of sustainability training which are aimed to improve the sustainability status of the Kenyan-based tour operators and driver guides. The training is intended to support Kenyan tour operators and tour/driver guides in implementing sustainable practices within the field of tourism. The end goal is to increase the number of tour operators committed to sustainability and involve the tour guides for the transformation of Kenya’s tourism industry.

Ecotourism Kenya in collaboration with Travelife for Tour Operators will guide tour operating companies through the Travelife partner report. During the online sessions, the different themes and standards will be discussed. We will go in-depth how to comply with the standards and support you in implementing new practices. We have also engaged the Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association (KPSGA) and the Kenya Tour Driver Guides Association (KTDGA) to offer sustainability training sessions for Kenyan safari/ driver guides.
